Comfort Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer non-profit fire department in Kendall County Texas that responds to EMS calls, house fires, traffic accidents, brush and grass fires.
We Respond
CVFD responses include: all types of fires, motor vehicle collisions, control burns, good intent, rescue calls, and medical calls.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
- Over half of the members are Level 1 Auto Extrication Technicians
- In depth training for extrications including stabilizations, different techniques and keeping up with new technologies
Controlled Burns
We assist the community with control burns.
- When the weather cooperates, we do control burns for training.
- Mostly Hay fields or burning for pastures for agricultural purposes.
- Case by case basis

Call Volume
In 2019 CVFD was dispatched to 312 calls for service. CVFD responded to 282 of those calls. The other 30 went unanswered due to members’ work commitments.
