Comfort Volunteer Fire Department is funded in part by Kerr and Kendall County, but not fully!
It takes approximately $100,000 to operate the fire department for a year. Operating includes utilities, fuel and oil for apparatus, gear, anything you see in the station.

The IRS has determined that The Comfort Volunteer Fire Department is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, (IRS EIN 74-2098417), and as such, all donations are fully tax deductible under Section 170 of the IRS Code.
